Not only do you get the opportunity to have your own customizable NBA player on the court, but you’ve also been afforded the opportunity to cultivate a character off the court. Since the release of NBA 2K14, the M圜areer mode has also taken a much more narrative-centered focus. Personally, 2K’s M圜areer mode has been a staple in my gameplay experience every year that I’ve bought the new 2K, I’ve always sunk my teeth into the M圜areer mode for at least 20 or 30 hours. Ever since the summer of 2009, NBA 2K’s “MyPlayer” and “M圜areer” Modes has allowed what I imagine to be millions of avid basketball fans the opportunity to step into the shoes of an NBA player–albeit in a fantasized (and glorified) manner.
